The holidays just wouldn't be the same without those classic ugly christmas sweaters. But what criteria must the sweater meet in order to count as ugly? It all comes down to the color clash; the brighter the colors, the better. The combination of red and green tends to stand out immediately on it's own, but if you add in blue, and especially yellow, you'll have no problem qualifying as ugly. If you're having problems finding a sufficiently ugly sweater at the mall then here's a hint: 95% of homemade sweaters rate at least an 8 on the ugly scale, so just ask Grandma to knit a special holiday sweater for you and you'll be golden!
